Low density cellular concrete( ZBS) is a flowable cement-based material with a controllable bulk density and a uniform pore structure. It is manufactured on site or in a technological process adapted to the needs of the site and is installed as a lightweight, self-flowing fill without mechanical compaction.
LBS is good at filling complex-shaped voids, pipelines, annular spaces and restricted access areas, where mechanical laying of traditional material, high-quality compaction or construction of separate supporting structures is difficult, time-consuming or practically ineffective. After hardening, LBS forms a homogeneous, stable and controllable fill with significantly less self-weight than traditional mineral fills or conventional concrete.
The main advantage of LBS is not one isolated property, but a combination of properties: low weight, good flowability, fast application, application without compaction, controllable strength, reduced load on the soil and structures, minimal mechanical impact during application and clearly verifiable quality.

SKYSTONE focuses on LBM applications where the material's technical advantages add real value to the project, rather than simply replacing one building material with another. Typical application groups are as follows::

• filling of culverts and pipelines, including filling of worn-out or unusable sections;
• filling annular spaces around newly installed pipes and in pipe renovation solutions;
• filling abandoned basements, shafts, tunnels, cisterns and other underground voids;
• filling of hard-to-reach cavities and voids under existing structures;
• filling and restoration of trenches in places where compaction is technically undesirable, difficult or risky;
• backfill behind retaining walls and other permanent structures where additional load must be limited;
• lightweight constructive backfill solutions for weak soil, road, industrial and special construction projects;
• subfloors on the ground, leveling the base and filling communication areas in floor structures, where flowable installation, load control or compaction limitation is essential;
• closed-cell or water-permeable/draining LBS solutions, if determined by the technical needs of the specific project.

LBS is particularly suitable in cases where additional load on the ground or existing structures needs to be limited, hard-to-reach areas need to be filled, vibration and mechanical impact caused by compaction needs to be avoided, the risk of subsidence needs to be reduced, or fast and controlled backfilling needs to be ensured in confined construction site conditions.
In the case of abandoned basements and other voids under buildings, LBS can be a rational alternative to the construction of new steel supporting structures if the project objective is the structural strengthening of the existing structure, rather than the restoration of the abandoned space or adaptation for future use. In this case, LBS allows you to quickly and economically create a permanent, even and supportive fill over the entire required volume.
If a traditional solution in a given situation technically and economically fully achieves the project goal, the use of LBS is not necessary just because of the material replacement. ZBS becomes justified in cases where the traditional solution increases the load on the structure or soil, complicates execution, extends the work deadlines, creates additional risks or increases the total project costs during construction and operation.
