Fonda pamatmērķis ir praktizēt uz sabiedrisko labumu orientētu žurnālistiku un stimulēt profesionālas pētnieciskās žurnālistikas attīstību visā pasaulē. Stimulēt jaunas datu vākšanas un apstrādes metodes žurnālistikā. Centra mērķis ir ne tikai aktīvi izmantot dažādas inovatīvas datu vākšanas un analīzes metodes savā darbā, bet arī apmācīt kolēģus žurnālistus, studentus un citas ieinteresētās puses. Veidot pētniecisko žurnālistu sadarbības tīklu visā pasaulē. Piešķirt stipendijas studentu apmācībai vai profesionāļu tālākizglītībai. Veikt zinātniskus pētījumus. Sniegt finansiālu un citu atbalstu žurnālistiem un pētnieciskās žurnālistikas organizācijām. Īstenot līdzekļu vākšanas kampaņas, ar mērķi atbalstīt medijus, kuri nodarbojas ar izmeklēšanām. |
